Discover brand: ELSK

ELSK has integrated a circular concept into their business, making resale a natural part of the universe. With the Buy Back widget on product pages, customers can see what their ELSK items are worth even after use – and trade them back easily. The results speak for themselves: 57% growth in order value for resale items and 46% of resale buyers are new customers, showing that recommerce drives both commercial growth and customer acquisition.

RE.ELSK is not just a resale concept – it’s a unique way to build loyalty. I’m really proud of how many new customers we bring in through RE.ELSK and how actively they engage in our circular universe.

How do you sell outdoor gear again and again – and create value each time? Spejder Sport has developed a circular concept called Spejder Sport Second Hand, which has become a central part of the company’s business model. With an omni-channel approach, they connect online and physical retail in one unified strategy, where recommerce – the resale of secondhand products – is both commercially viable and resource-conscious. Spejder Sport Second Hand is profitable, with a gross margin of over 20%.

The secondhand market is growing rapidly, especially in outdoor. The customer base is often different from our traditional one, and more people are mixing new and used. At Spejder Sport, we want to be part of that market and offer customers the chance to buy and sell pre-owned within our brand universe. We’re seeing strong demand across categories and price points.

Roccamore offers customers the opportunity to buy and sell pre-loved Roccamore shoes directly on their own site, in a seamless brand experience. Since launch, 46% of recommerce buyers have been new customers, and 8% of all orders include both new and secondhand products. The platform not only adds a new revenue stream, but also creates valuable customer data and marketing opportunities that support both loyalty and growth.

With Create2STAY, we’re tapping into the growing secondhand market our handmade Italian shoes already thrive in. It’s a smart way to meet customer demand, gain new insights, grow loyalty and extend product lifetime.

Pitaya

Pitaya

Discover brand: Pitaya

Where most of the fashion industry exchanges or discards a faulty garment because that is cheapest in the short term, Pitaya repairs it. In Q2 2026, the Danish brand handled 33% of all complaints through repair instead of exchange, saving the item from being thrown away — and it has set a public goal of 50% by the end of 2027. Defective and returned items are repaired and resold at around 50% of the original price, and customers who make a complaint get their item repaired by a local tailor. At an average repair cost of DKK 62.50, it is profitable business, not a sustainability campaign.

We're not sustainable, and the worst thing I could imagine being accused of is that this is an attempt at greenwashing. But somebody has to go first and try to create change. We want to be the brand that's known for having done it.
